So I just got home from a 2hour doctor’s appointment… been a long time since I’ve had one of those… since my diagnosis appointment I believe.
The strep test came back negative. The mono test came back negative. She decided to draw blood to do a more thorough mono test, as well as a blood count, kidney function, and liver function test. I have an appointment on Thursday to handle my diabetes-related stuff. Currently making the move from my endo back to my primary care physician for my D management. Had a sort of falling out with my endo after my last appointment. Once again, I’ll keep you all updated on the goings on.
Peace,
Tom.
I find it sort of funny that home, a so called “stable environment”, is the environment where I now have the most trouble controlling my sugars. At school, life is very regimented. I need to be up by 8am to make it to classes. I only have time to eat at certain times. I check around the same times every day. Once I get home, though… all of that goes out the window. I wake up whenever I feel like it, I eat when I want… I check when I remember… My sugar gets away from me, and I have to sprint to catch it again. Normally, I wouldn’t find that funny, but right now I’m trying to see the funnier side of life.
I’m going to the doctor later today to get a test for mononucleosis. I’ve been getting small, opportunistic infections since about Christmas, and haven’t been healthy since about two weeks before the holiday. I know it’s been a bad season, but I think two sinus infections, double pink eye, fluid in my lungs, and constant tight throats (not so much sore… but muscle tightness in my throat)… I just think that’s all a bit too coincidental for me. I’ll keep you all posted on that.
Off to go find some new flipflops.
Peace,
Tom.
